Short Girl Problems πŸ˜Š

A digital image created by Wombo Dream AI of a woman in jeans and socks trying to climb up into a very high bed that is almost as tall as she is. The super thick mattress is sitting on top of a storage bed with drawers, so that adds to the height.

Do you suppose a scenario like this actually exists? πŸ€” Well, it does. And that busyness I’ve been telling you about was leading up to a new bed after years of painful mattresses that needed replaced.

Three brief experiences with adjustable beds have kept me convinced since about 2012 that I really wanted one of my own. We’ve shopped off and on, and we almost got one once in 2013, but we still had indoor cats, and I was afraid they could get under the bed and be injured by the motor. Fear can take away even what you really want.

So back then, we opted for the bookcase headboard and a large storage base. When it came time to replace the mattresses, we didn’t want to give up our storage to get a new bed. And then we found out that the newer adjustable frames can be laid right on the platform slats of our old bed. Yippee!

So today, that’s what we got delivered. And I stood next to this huge hybrid mattress rising toward the ceiling, and it came up to chest height on me. That’s when I got very thankful that I’d planned ahead and ordered a double-step stool. My Operation Cleanout friend put it together for me a couple weeks ago.

It’s still a little far away with my super short legs, but it’s doable with the stool’s assistance. Without that, it would be an unending loop of effort and failure like in this humorous video I asked Wombo to make from the first picture it designed. πŸͺœπŸ§—

I hope that brought a smile to your day. Now I’m going to go climbing for the purpose of getting a really good night’s sleep, and hopefully it will be the first of many nights of comfy rest.
